Verify the Real SimpleSwap

The only official domain is simpleswap.io. Everything else, no matter how close the name or how convincing the design, isn't SimpleSwap. Here's how to check before you send anything.

The quick check

1

Read the address bar

It should say simpleswap.io exactly, with nothing added before, after or in place of it.

If it doesn't match exactly, close the tab. It isn't the official site.

2

Think about how you got there

Typed directly or opened from your own bookmark is fine. A link from a DM, a comment, or an ad promising a bonus is not how the real service reaches you.

If it arrived unsolicited, treat it as suspicious no matter how the page looks.

3

Check what it's asking for

A receiving wallet address and a rate choice are normal. A request for your seed phrase, private key, or remote access to your screen is not, on any page, for any reason.

If it asks for wallet keys, stop. Nothing legitimate needs them.

4

Compare the flow

If anything feels different from what's documented on the real simpleswap.io/how-it-works, that mismatch is worth pausing over before you proceed.

The real site vs. a lookalike

The real SimpleSwap
A lookalike or phishing page
simpleswap.io, exactly, with no extra words or characters
A misspelled variant, an extra word, or a different domain extension
Never asks for a seed phrase, private key, or remote screen access
May ask for a seed phrase, private key, or remote access “to help”
You reach it by typing the domain or using your own bookmark
Reached through an unsolicited DM, comment, or ad promising a bonus
Support responds through the official site's live chat, when you initiate it
Someone messages you first, offering to fix a stuck swap

What's still on you

Self-custody removes a platform-side risk. It doesn't remove these.

AreaWhat's on you
Wallet addressDouble-check it before confirming. A blockchain transaction doesn't reverse once it's sent.
Network selectionAssets on more than one network (for example USDT on TRX, BSC or ETH) need the matching one selected, or the funds can be lost.
Seed phraseYours to protect. SimpleSwap doesn't ask for it, doesn't store it, and can't recover it if it's lost or shared.
Rate movementA floating rate can move against you between quote and execution. A fixed rate trades that for a wider spread.

Verify the order, not just the messenger

Every real swap is traceable directly on the official site — use that instead of trusting whoever reached out.

  1. Every SimpleSwap exchange gets a unique order ID with real-time status tracking on simpleswap.io.
  2. If someone contacts you about a "stuck" or "flagged" swap, look up that order ID yourself on the official site before believing the claim.
  3. Genuine support never needs your seed phrase, private key or remote screen access just to check an order's status.
  4. If the order ID doesn't exist, doesn't match, or the contact can't provide one, treat the message as fraudulent.
